Bluestone Steakhouse and Seafood

We have eaten here multiple times in the past, but last night will be our last time. The moment we sat down, I felt like I was going to fall out of the chair, it was very wobbly and in need of repair. Our waitress appeared to be put out, and in a rush from the get go. We placed our order, we had to wait for our drinks, and our glasses were not refilled throughout the night. We waited a long time for our appetizers and salad, and within two minutes of our salads arriving, our meal came out. I also asked for salad dressing on the side, it came on my salad. We ordered two pieces of cake for dessert, that are around $17 a slice, the waitress dropped the two pieces of cake off and seven forks on the table, we asked for a couple extra plates, and she said it would be a while. We started splitting up the cake, and there were 2 long hairs, baked into one slice of the cake. We let the waitress know and she took the cake away. She didn’t ask if we would like another piece, or if we would like a different dessert, she just walked away. She came back and asked how our checks needed to be split, my daughter spoke up and said she and her husband would be together, and again, the waitress rushed off without even hearing how the remainder of the check needed to be split. Once we left, and we talked about such poor service, and other issues, I decided to call and talk to the owner, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, that maybe they were short-staffed, but no, the owner told me everyone was there last night. I told her we have been there before, and last night was not up to par. She said they were very busy last night so everyone was hustling. I went through everything that I was disappointed in, but she didn’t seem to worried about it. She did say they don’t bake the cakes on site, so she plans to talk to the bakery. She also said that the cake had been eaten so that’s probably why the waitress didn’t offer a different dessert. I let her know that the cake was not eaten. It was on multiple plates and they needed to look at all the plates. Also, the owner said most people eat off of the same plate, so that’s probably why the waitress was surprised that we asked for a couple extra plates. Needless, to say we won’t be going back. When you spend that much on what is supposed to be a nice steakhouse, I expect better than subpar service and food.

Highly recommend for fine dining! Food was excellent and the dessert, a Sea Salt Caramel type cake was marvelous! Courteous and attentive staff.

7 dollars for a baked potato, please justify that for me, you know how much 20lbs of Idaho bakers are? Yea, you do. Good grief. Go home guys, Parking: I would recommend the ice water, tap water, actually in a glass

We visited on a Friday night, with a party of eight, for a birthday celebration. From start to finish, our experience was impeccable! The appetizers were delectable; the entrees were delicious; the desserts were delightful; and the service was dynamic! Susan was knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to everyone at the table while still allowing for the natural flow of conversation between us during our meal. My husband and I have been searching for a “go to” spot since the closure of Steak & Ale, and we found it last night! We also found our server! Look out, Susan! :)

Food was good as usual! The light from the host stand was shining directly in my line of sight until an another table was sat and blocked my view, the atmosphere otherwise was nice. Our server was subpar especially compared to hearing how other servers were interacting with their tables- she didn’t tell us of any specials or recommendations, rushed us on ordering our bar drinks and all the courses, telling us that she would bring them out separately but to tell her everything all at once. We never got a basket of bread which wasn’t a big deal since our appetizers included pita bread, but all the tables around us got one. I ordered a cup of lobster bisque and after a long time was told that they had run out. I said that was okay, and then a few minutes later she returned saying they had “found” more. We were very confused at that phrasing, like where did you find it?? My partner ordered a soup and salad, the salad came out the same time as my soup and their soup finally came out just before our entree, I suspect it only came after the server tried to take away my half eaten soup but I said I was waiting to finish when their soup came out. Also mine was scorching hot when it arrived so I had to take my time as well. We shared a steak and a different server brought it out and we had to use the plate that came under the soup to divide up our meal. Our server did not come back to check on how everything came out like they say “2 minutes/2 bites”, she finally came back and simply said “did you want any desserts?” We declined, but then heard a different server describing all of the dessert options and they sounded great so I guess we missed out. We’ll be back again, but I will definitely be requesting a different server

Keep looking for a better restaurant. Food was horrible, Had to send back my steak, overcooked plus the filet mignon was about and inch thick. Worst steak ever. Very run down, chairs felt like they were going to fall apart. Bathroom locks were hanging on by one screw. Stay clear if this place.

The place was run down, chairs are falling apart and I felt it would break at any time. Service was bad, waiter kept leaving and wouldn't even let us finish asking a question or a drink order. Crazy, never seen anything like that. Ordered a filet, medium rare, came out and looked like a sirloin which they assured me it was a filet. I cut into it and was cooked medium. But again, had to wait to flag down the waiter just to tell him the steak was over cooked. I'll never go back to that place again. Save your time and money!!

We have ate here several time, last night was amazing! The drink were tasty, the food came quick. My husband ordered the 1 pound sirloin and the steak was cooked perfect and the taste was perfect. I had the chicken Marsala which was wonderful. The garlic mashed potatoes are the die for. Our server was great and checked on us often. Last night was an amazing night and wonderful food!
