Blackthorn Pizza & Pub

False pricing on their own tv (2 prices, 1 for 10oz & 1 for a pint... but pint was denied by our server) and they blame it on untappd, which they control. Also served a dirty glass for our $6 10oz. Thankful the owner replied, and I tried to update with more info.

One of the best pubs in Joplin

Classy place. Bartenders are very personable, The staff is down to earth, and polite but doesn't waste time to crack jokes and make you feel right home. Stand up night is awkwardly fun, bands are a wide array of rock sub-genre's. (Punk, Metal, Norwegian-Nintendo Popcore [jfwu] etc.) Pizza is good but the pretzel with cheese sauce is damn good. Ask for extra parm in the sauce. Affordable drinks, dive yet comfortable scene for the most part, tolerable to amazing patrons, pool and other games. I didn't write this. But thanks to whoever did. It was probably me 4 years ago, but when asked by Google to update after going and playing pool, why not, if over the years, it remains my favorite? 5 stars cause it's comfortable and welcoming, and is tied for the best place to catch Norwegian-Nintendo Popcore shows in town. ( : Vegetarian options: Pizza without meat. Parking: It's a bar surrounded by other bars. Better to be dropped off.

I was not really impressed with this place

The pizza! The beer! The off the wall feel! The pizza! This is one of my favorite places in Joplin. It draws a real easy going crowd and the bartenders go the extra mile to make you feel welcomed.

This place is the BEST. Some of the best pizza you will have as well. Mel is amazing!!
