Drink and food options were great during happy hour. Nice view. The price is the price for the Wharf. It’s giving tourist trap vibes, but maybe good for a happy hour gathering.
Great place to sit outside and people watch. Okay food nothing to rave about I would say. But you’re paying for the location.
The food and atmosphere were simply divine. I would go back. The food is delicious.
Love the burger, really tasty 👍
We sat outdoors and it was beautiful, a lot of birds get very close. The food was good, not a very wide selection of options.
Full service Cafe. Perfect place to have a coffee and some pastries or a full meal. Great view of the water. Food is good and so is the service
Lovely bistro at the wharf in SW DC. Good food....delicious mocha latte.
A charming little cafe on The Wharf serving up fresh pastries and delicious brunch dishes. The cozy ambiance and friendly staff make it a perfect spot to enjoy a leisurely meal.
I had a Latte and it was Amazing ! Food is great as well ! First time here and definitely coming back.
Waited to be seated for a while even though restaurant was not busy (10am on a weekday). A male server kept passing by without any acknowledgement, finally went inside to get a female server’s attention and she was more friendly - said someone would be with me shortly. After a while the male server comes back and mumbles if I’d been helped yet. Told him no, that I’d like a table. Tries to sit me at the door. The restaurant patio was less than 1/4 full, so I said no, I’d like another table. He says “let me see if I have anything,” and goes all the way into a table that is not even set, stuck in the corner, that he pulls out a wipe to clean off presumably. I said, “You have all these open tables, you have to stick me there?” He says well the open tables are larger. Aha, the poor treatment of a solo diner. Ill advised. I point out that another woman diner is seated at a table for 4 by herself. At this point, not eager to give them my business. Walked out. Why do this when you are only 1/4 full?????
Good services, beautiful places
The "tarte flambee" was essentially a Pizza Hut minipizza (so definitely not even close to being tarte flambee; my wife is from Alsace, so don't bother trying to respond to this aspect of my review, because I speak from a place of knowledge). The wine (a Sancerre) was served warm, and not in time with the food. The entre portion sizes were small for the price (with the exception of the Salad Niçoise). The hot food warm served on cold plates, so the food was not hot when it arrived at the table. Additionally, insufficient time was provided between the appetizer and main meal, which left all in our party with a fast food restaurant service feeling. The server was conspicuously absent throughout the meal, though I realized that this was because she was overworked, so shame on you management. The last straw was my side of carrots, which were not served with my main dish (they were forgotten). When the carrots finally arrived (in a cold dish) they were not cooked, hadn't been properly prepared (there was greenery still on the top), and were bathed in a, frankly disgusting, overly sugary "glaze". Bottom line: this is not remotely close to French, does not have a pleasant ambiance, overpriced, and in general poor execution. I will never again eat at this "restaurant", and I highly recommend you go elsewhere. Management, do not respond to this review, because I am uninterested in your feedback.
The menu is small but they had options for my friend who eats gluten free. I wanted to have the Nicole’s salad but the waiter came back and told me they were all out. I was disappointed but got the frisée salad and a side of green beans and they were totally delicious! Our waiter was so nice, and efficient, and it was a great experience overall! I will be back!
Du Jour still has the best breakfast on the Wharf with excellent service. While waiting for our takeout croissants and crugels, I had a beer. A Houbalon Chouffe, a Belgian IPA, was presented and poured. It was an excellent IPA featuring 3 different Belgian hops. It was a most pleasant IPA, refreshing and tasty.
This was the greatest French breakfast I’d ever had. I would give my first born child to be able to eat the French toast again. If you have one thing left to do on earth, go here!
Not worth it. 2 adults, 3 kids, one of which was 2 years old. Bill was 260. 3 hanger steaks (steak frites), no salt no pepper, none came out at the right temp. Croquettes were cold and tasted, well not good. Everything was either not seasoned or under seasoned. If the bill would have been 150ish, that would be fine, but 260 for 4 entrees and 2 apps, no alcohol, I just can't rate it higher.
