Bistro Cacao

My wife and I love traditions. I took her here right after proposing to her, and we return to Bistro Cacao every year on that day. It’s a great Parisian spot on the Hill. I normally get steak frites.

Service was great and the food was amazing. We did the 3 course brunch. It’s 3 full size plates, you get to pick one thing from the 3 sections on the menu. Everything we had was great - so full

Bistro Cacao has a very pleasant French-style atmosphere that’s very ornate and charming, unique to DC. The waitress was very friendly and the sandwich I had was amazing. I was delightfully surprised with their bread and butter. The butter was light and fresh and resembled something similar to whipped milk. I highly recommend this restaurant for a business lunch or date. Great experience.

Probably the greatest dining experience I've ever had. The perfect balance of high quality food and warm hospitality. Everything was delicious. It feels as though the staff cares deeply about your experience, which is rare in DC.

Great food great atmosphere

I recently visited at Bistro Cacao and had a delightful experience overall. The ambiance was fantastic, creating a perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The staff were attentive, friendly, and truly made us feel welcome. The food was exquisite, capturing the essence of French cuisine beautifully. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that they don't offer plant-based milk options. As someone who is lactose intolerant, this meant I had to skip my usual coffee and opt for tea instead. It would be great if they could add plant-based milk alternatives to their menu, accommodating guests with dietary restrictions. Aside from this, everything else was top-notch, and I would still highly recommend this restaurant for its great vibe and wonderful service.

When driving to this french cafe, on first glance i knew i was in for a good time.My food was very high in quality and was presented amazingly.Also, the servers were very fast and kind.My family also believes with me that all our dishes were just as good as they looked when eating them.No crumbs left behind!I highly recommend to many families.

It is one of the best overall meals we have had in the US. The Beef Wellington over the top. Outstanding Lamb. Duck just so tender and flavorful. Trout best, my wife , has had in a restaurant. Just great. Manger came to table and had good discussion.
