Bistecca Restaurant

First time at Bistecca after a recommendation as to how good it was. I went for a pizza and the wife the lamb skewer. Pizza was fine. Lamb came with a few unhealthy looking chips some pitta and Taziki. For 19.50 it wasn't the best value as the lamb cubes were tiny and the sorry looking chips reminded me of lsomething you could get from a Turkish kebab house for a tenner. Anyway, half way through my wife had to apologise as she spat out a fatty grissly piece of meat. Not want you need during a meal. At the end 'was everything ok with your meal'. Not really. Looks at that grisly piece of lamb. 'Sorry about that' was the response. Hopefully it was fed back to the chef. To add insult to injury the bill came and instead of two overpriced Morretis coming to 13 pounds. Yep 13 pounds. It had somehow been worked out at 15.50. Now that is a rip off!!!! So all in all not the best experience. It s nice inside if a little cramped depending on where you sit but I wouldn't go back. I totally understand that the price of everything has gone up recently and the only way businesses can survive is to pass the cost on to the customer but sometimes you just think why am I paying over the odds for 'average' food and getting ripped off on alcoholic drinks. It ll get to the point where people just don t bother which is a shame for both the business owners and customers.

Food was a bit pricey for the quality. Some of our dishes were fantastic some less so. Service was not welcoming, but food came quickly. Ambiance was nice, location was good.

The food is always good and consistently the same each time we come. They cook steaks as requested, if you want it medium rare then they cook it medium rare. If you want fish, you will get the whole fish (cooked to perfection). They really listen to what you want and they deliver. The staff are always friendly, you will not be left waiting as they always make sure you are well looked after. If you need their attention then the amazing staff will come over quickly to attend to you. The prices reflect the quality of food and service. It is a real treat to eat here and they really treat you as a guest. Highly recommended and we will continue to come back.

he waiter was arrogant, bad at everything.. and served us with disgust in his eyes. I didn't like it at all, throw him out
