I was looking for gluten free options for a quick take out lunch. The knowledgeable staff are helpful. Food was very tasty!! I will visit next time I am travelling through Prince George.
Had lunch from Birch and Boar with the family today. We all tried different sandwiches and were extremely happy with them all. As other reviews have mentioned, the prices are steep, but not beyond what you'd expect given the aesthetic and quality. Great experience. Will revisit next time I am in PG.
My husband and I just got off work, and we wanted to try something different, so we figured we'd try Birch & Boar. Oh my goodness!!!!! We are so happy we did. Firstly, we love supporting local. We love a good sandwich, and we love good wedges! I ordered their Chicken Birria with a side of wedges, and it is AMAAAAZING *insert Homer drool here*. The amount of food you get is great! The price is worth it. The 2 people who were there just before closing today were SUPER WELCOMING and talkative. It's a breath of fresh air to be greeted and welcomed to that degree. We both got home and couldn't wait to dig in. We will definitely be back, and we will definitely be regulars. The flavor punches you in the face in the best way possible. I love how the wrapper keeps all the amazing juices from the sandwich from seeping through to your hands. I also love how the chicken birria dip bowl is BIG ENOUGH to fit the entirety of the sandwich inside to dip the entire sandwich! Nothing is more annoying than dipping a tiny piece of the tip of the corner of the sandwich into tiny dipping bowls. So, I love all the little details, and I love the thoughtfulness that went into the distribution of their food to make it practical for us consumers The guy also gave us a sample of their burnt ends, and OMG I will be ordering that next time! We absolutely recommend it! The flavor, service, and creativity of this place are unmatched. You won't be disappointed. *whispers* I took a Pic of the inside of the sammich to show how full the sammich is!!!!! Yum
I just had your beef sandwich ! Honestly , that is the very best sandwich I have ever had . even had some crunchy fat in it . DELTIOUSE !!!!!
I had the porchetta sandwich, and the leek and porchetta soup and they're both so good! The sandwich is loaded with thick meat that is cooked perfectly in house. The soup is full of flavour. Definitely worth checking out... and then checking out again.
Brisket Burnt End's sammy was amazing and the Smokey Potato Salad was money
Good service and great little local shop with fine goods you can't find as easily in town
I'm so happy this great local business has expanded to a store front. Previously available at the Farmer's Market, they now have a full slate of grocery products, including fresh local produce, lots of tinned goods both local and from abroad, delicious cheeses, and of course an amazing selection of meat products. We enjoyed a fresh made sandwich, and also picked up some house made salami, a white stilton with apricot, and an extra aged Dutch Gouda. Edit: new 2023 lunch menu is so good! Tried a porchetta sandwich and it was really tasty, not too much bread, and had a little zing to it. Highly recommend
I decided to check out their new lunch menu. I was really impressed with the portions! The meal had so much chicken. It was the 1/4 Rotisserie Chicken Meal and it was delicious. So worth it to go to a local business.
Really enjoyed my first visit here, lots of good options.
