Love this place

Too much $$ for cold burgers and serving size, service is not good.

The food is ok but it's nothing special and certainly isn't worth the price they charge for it. It cost me $30 for a bacon triple cheese burger. $30 for 12oz of beef. It was $3 just to add bacon, lol. I mean, I understand Liberal inflation and the #CarbonTaxScam have hit us all hard but this is simply preposterous. Fatburger is 1000% better quality and you can get a triple Kingburger with bacon, which is 1.5lbs of beef, for $24.

Used to be really good, but has gone down a bit recently. First off, the current staff aren’t very welcoming. Second, the quality has gone down. The last burger was just ok, but I thought maybe it was a fluke. Today’s was just plain bad. The burger I got this time had super thin, overcooked patties which were broken apart before I even picked it up and everything about the burger was askew like it had been slapped together. I tried to re-stack it myself, but the patties just crumbled more. So, I had to eat it like a burger salad. It was very dry and bland. I really want this place to do well, cause I like the local, sustainable business model, but the quality isn’t meeting expectations anymore. The burger I had today deserves a one star, but I’m giving three stars based on the average over the years.

Absolutely no complaints. A very good and filling burger. My partner got the crispy chicken burger and it was DEFINITELY bigger than most of the fast food joints around. I would say it’s better than most pubs around in Nanaimo. I know people said that they usually has a longer wait but we waited at max 10 minutes, but to be fair we were the only other table there (we beat a mini rush that followed us right after).

My food and service was okay, but not at all impressed with how they handled some other customers. While waiting for my order, an elderly couple came in with a gift card. Turns out big wheel switched providers 6 months ago and won’t honour the card… company is just keeping the money?! Then they had problems trying to pay and the manager starts yelling it’s “not a problem with us or the machine, it’s your bank.” All this while ignoring every phone call. Never going back for overpriced mediocre food with this service.

Good food awful service, took 20 minutes for a single burger with nobody in line ahead of me, and the burger was cold.
