Who doesn't love a candy store! This place has been a stop each time we're in Dubuque. The gremlins are fire if you love a turtle candy. You always get a free sample upon arrival too. They do have ice cream as well.

My sister and I each purchased one scoop of ice cream today. They were delicious. However, my portion was huge while my sister’s was minuscule. Price was the same. When brought to the girl’s attention whom scooped it, she refused to add more and backed away to a different customer. We are very loyal customers but this experience has soured us on returning anytime soon. Poor customer service from our once favorite ice cream shop. Shame on you Betty Jane’s! Cashier was 4392.

I experienced extremely poor service and the staff were not friendly and actually quite rude, especially cashier 4392. She did not ask how she could assist me while I was checking which flavor of ice cream that I was deciding to choose. She rudely did say off handedly “what do you want?” and I was quite taken aback by that approach as it was very off putting. I have never experienced a cashier with such lack of customer service/people skills. The product is superior but the staff needs training in working appropriately with the public. Having been employed many years in the Hospitality business myself, I was shocked by the lack of respect displayed by the cashiers in such a reputable business like Betty Jane’s. This is in response to your answer to my above review. First off, this is not about receiving free ice cream. It is about the attitude of your staff directed at me. Furthermore, I did not request two free one scoop portions. Only one was expected. The addition one was offered. I very much enjoy Betty Jane ice cream and candy and feel that this is very unfortunate to have been treated disrespectfully.

It was my first time in the new store. It has more room, seems to flow better, and the service was great.

Great candy and their gremlins are the best!
