Lovely meal great service

I've given this restaurant 5 stars not because it's a 5 star restaurant (it's not, and doesn't pretend to be) but because we couldn't fault it for what it offered. Friendly staff, very good food, reasonable wine, all at a decent price. We had garlic bread to start with (enormous) then lasagne, and spicy sausage penne. Wonderful. Loos were clean, tables were basic but clean, recommended.

I cannot express how lovely the food is as well as the service from staff - such kind people and so hospitable. Never have I wanted to spend more on tips than their food - it explains a lot! I'm Muslim, so it's amazing to know that I can eat everything on the menu without feeling restricted - all meats and chicken are halal. Yesterday, I went there with a friend for Iftar (breaking fast during Ramadan), and the owner ended up giving us extra food for free and didn't let us pay for the food we ordered - such kindness from our brothers in Islam, Alhamdulillah! We tried a cheese pizza and jacket potato with beans and both dishes were very very underwhelming, specially pizza let us down big time.

Superb service throughout. Food hot and very tasty. Wonderful space, gets very busy on match night, booking essential.
