Nice place for walks in the summer months
Stunning. Beautiful. Tranquil. A place of beauty.
Lovely area, surrounded by the natural walkways such as the meadows, rivers and wildlife. Nice and quiet, away from the chaos/traffic, you can destress here. I like to walk on down and explore the area, you can have a short or long walk here (entirely up to you! ). It connects to many places and other cycle/hiking routes. Be sure to check out their website or give the local area names a search on the internet (or in the library/bedford archives), there's lots of history and information about the places which makes you appreciate it more. I love the outskirts of this town, it's different to a majority of other places as the borders are farmland, hiking routea and streams. The councils, goverments and businesses/people need to yake these into account when building new developments and expanding the town. Sustainable development!!
Very beautiful park in Bedford, perfect for good walk with family or dog here is many ways where to go Highly recommended
Bedford is blessed with an amazing amount of open natural space, and Bedford River Vally Park adds something very special - simple, open countryside to roam, a little off the beaten tracks around Priory lake. This winter's high river levels have created a wonderful wetland spectacle, under those big Bedfordshire skies. Well worth a visit on any day.
An expansive area that always has more to discover. Over the years long walks have presented with big chances to see much of the area in the River Valley Park and I will continue to discover more in the future. From Priory Lake, Priory Park, Willington, The Grange Estate to all the activities that can done. This is an ideal place to visit for a day out. Or if you are fortunate to live on its doorstep, endless days of enjoyment can be benefitted from.
