I come here about 4-5 times a month and really enjoyed the food. I am a regular and started to bring my friends and family aswell. The heavy male with the beard made 2 wrong orders for my friend and I, so we politely informed him of this. He gave us a horrible response telling us we ordered the wrong thing, although I am a regular and get the same thing every time I come. Gave me pork and I am Muslim and then horrible customer service! So upset, we will not be back.
It’s okay but be prepared to pay a premium for their food. Everything is extra and be careful what bagel you select or you will pay extra for it also. A good bagel place shouldn’t ask if you want it toasted in my opinion. If they are fresh you don’t toast. You toast if they are a day old. It’s the best place around because it’s the only place with fresh bagels but not a place to write home about (at least in a good way) you might write home about all the extra charges though.
Just tried this place today. I got a sausage egg and cheese on an onion bagel. The bagel was AMAZING! One of the best, if not the best bagel I have ever had. It was baked perfectly and made perfectly overall. The only complaint I have is that I think they only used 1 egg so it didn’t balance out with the sausage and cheese. They should use 2 by default. Kinda cheap of them to only use 1 egg… Overall 9/10 will definitely come back and hopefully get 2 eggs on my sandwich next time ✅
Great service from manager Rob. Good bagels. Will return again!
Found in the heart of Downtown Hackensack, BEC Bagels is a true gem of a bagelry. I found my bagels to be crisp outside, soft inside, and quite substantive. The bagels maintain their quality even when ordered in late afternoon (2:30pm), which for many bagelries is unusual. My one sandwich, a Taylor Ham, Egg and Cheese, was very substantial; the egg fluffy and large, three slices of Taylor, and the cheese complimentary. My coffee was quite good as well. The best part of my couple visits there turned out to be the young man behind the counter, who proved to be most pleasant, accommodating, and topmost, informative. Even though it was a busy time, he always kept a good demeanor, which in this type of business, is paramount. I look forward to coming back when I am in the area again. Vegetarian options: Some sandwiches are considered vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: Sign posted. Look carefully. Parking: Parking is "Find what you can get", being on a busy main thoroughfare. Kid-friendliness: Very friendly, accommodating service. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible entrance, but not much maneuvering room inside, especially when busy.
Great bagel spot service is wonderful very friendly. Prices are very fair, large bagels.
great products, use top quality ingredients and it shows. the BLTA is my go to but everything is excellent!
Great location. Fast friendly service. My bagel was big and fluffy like a pillow and filled with cream cheese. Looking forward to going back and trying the coffee others have raved about.
There’s no excuse NOT to eat an exceptional bagel in North Jersey. There’s so many good places to go. I put Bec right up there with the best I’ve had in Bergen County.
