I loved my fried barbecue tofu sandwich with mac & cheese!!
The food was great the service was excellent I will tell anyone that’s in the charlotte area to go and have the bacon cheeseburger Vegetarian options: It’s a must that u experience this vegan option
I visited to get the Vegan soft serve that I had been hearing about. I got the twist of vanilla and chocolate. It was very creamy (soy/oatmilk based) and not too sweet. Perfect! The employee was very nice and the restaurant had a gun vibe. I hope I can visit for dinner with some family or friends soon.
Holy COW (less)! this place is FANTASTIC ! everything I’ve had from here the tacos, the Reuben I do not miss meat. when I leave this Resturant. Bravo !
We’ve been here about a dozen times since the pandemic. It’s close by and it can be hard to find vegan food so we really wanted to continue to come here. But the wait staff is HORRIBLE. It’s usually the same heavy set waitress with a nose piercing. She seems to hate her job, her life and everyone who walks through Bean’s door. I thought the first couple times maybe she was having a bad day but now I know she’s just a really hateful person. We’ve never given her any reason to be rude to us, and we noticed the last few times we were there it’s not just us, she’s hateful to everyone. She’s very condescending, sarcastic and acts like she wants to murder us. It’s quite disturbing. It’s like pulling teeth just to get your drink order in. It almost seems like she doesn’t work there. She often put in the wrong food order and then accuses the customer of ordering something different. She disappears for long periods of time. She’s constantly bad talking the owners and anyone helping in the kitchen. The food is pretty good, very unhealthy, but it taste good. I hate that we won’t be back due to this one woman.
I've had a lot of vegan food in the Charlotte area. I ordered takeout and the food didn't take long. The staff was pretty normal and the atmosphere seemed pretty chill. Now for the food. I had the jackfruit tacos with collard greens and red beans & rice. The red beans and rice left much to be desired. I did not finish them and would not order them again. The tacos were bland and the soft shell of the taco was cooked too long and became hard and chewy. The vegan sour cream was not good either. I feel a bit disappointed by the tacos. The collards were great! Best part of the meal hands down. My total cost was $18 and change for 3 small tacos and two sides with no drink. To me it wasn't worth it simply because the food lacked flavor.
I was visiting from out of town, and it was near the area where I was. The food was excellent. It gave me a Southern homemade feel (the tofu finger bowl), with a small cornbread. The food came out quickly, and was a great portion. I liked that the space was funky. The artwork posters were cool, and seeing a vegan market wall with so many good vegan snacks, of some brands that are hard to find locally was a great treat. 5/5! Will be back when in town again!
