Lovely bookstore, I'm especially impressed with how well kept and interactive the kids section is. Very friendly staff and I like that there is often a dedicated employee in the kids section.

I visited this store on my break once, and noticed that one of the workers was at the cafe alone. Me, being a former bookstore worker, went over to them as I went to get my order and asked if they were working the floor by themselves (with a huge line wrapped around the counter) and if they were okay. They said they were fine, but I could clearly see that they were under emotional distress and trying not to cry. They seemed fine when they were out on the cafe before, and only started to become emotionally distressed after leaving an employee only room with whom I think is the store manager. Afterwards I saw them slam a blender on their hand and also dropped boiling water on it, due to there not being a second person on the floor. An overall lack of proper management and concern for their workers. I will be contacting their Human Resources on this about the manager.

Quick and easy in and out and they even let my well-behaved and well-trained dog in because of the heat wave. I did call ahead to double-check and make sure it was all right with the management that I brought my dog in during this heat wave with consideration of their business needs. Also I couldn't find the book I was looking for at first and then I had a wonderful interaction with an employee (first letter in their name is E. with shoulder length black hair) who was very friendly to my husband our dog and I.
