This was a really nice, self serve place near Western University. I really loved the vibe it was nice and quiet and we ordered their famous Lebanese cuisine. A chicken shawarma rice bowl and a falafel plate on the side, to be honest it was really delicious and food cooked was super fresh. I would surely recommend people to try out their food.
Great food, high quality very reasonable price and can be as healthy a meal as u want it to be! Fast and conveinet service. They also take western meal card which is awesome
Usually restuarants like Shelby's and Tahini's get bought by non-arabs then the employees, food, and prices become really bad. Glad to say the last time I went to barakat is was relatively the same as to 4/5 years ago. Vegetarian options: they have salads and vegetarian shawarmas from my understanding.
Pretty much the best schwarma in town. And there is a LOT of competition here in London. The meat is flavourful and tender. The portions are big. The garlic sauce is #1 here - and has no egg in it. Honestly, I can put this sauce on toast - it is that good. I've tried them all and keep coming back to Barakat.
A single plate of chicken and rice with all the fixings took me three days to eat, and I'm the kind of guy who can down a whole pizza in one sitting if I'm hungry enough. The food is dense and packed with flavor. Pretty affordable, too. Definitely worth checking out if you're a shawarma fan.
