Our bartender is exceptional, with everything being excellent. The fusion of welcoming customer service and expert insights is indispensable for a bar. Highly recommend.

Great Bar and madison is very good bartender

I’m a wing guy and eat a lot of wings🤣. These were some of the best wings in the city. NOTE - they need to get a mild / medium / hot sauce as currently none of those flavours. Please add 😉

The Bar Team are great, attentive

Our last night our server had an excellent personality and service attention. She was very attractive with a curvaceous body, reminiscent of the girls from Hogies Swiss steak house.

We arrived at 4pm sharp on a Friday, for an early dinner since we had other things to do afterwards. The menu was intriguing and we wanted to give it a chance. Sadly we were rejected at the door because we had our 10 year old son with us. The reason was it was a bar and didn't accept children. A few things didn't make sense. 1. It's right next to Denny's, with only a wall dividing the two places. It's not like it's in a closed secluded environment. 2. It's 4 pm, while law in Halifax states that underaged kids are not allowed in bars after 9pm. Let alone there was no one else at the establishment at the time. 3. Yes Denny's is next to it, we didn't want those menu items. 4. At a hotel, I feel like there shouldn't be an adult only bar. Other out of town visitors are going to run into this problem, and I feel it's business loss. In our case, they lost 3 customers that evening. And yes there are plenty of other restaurants in the area, but this is a lost opportunity at a hotel. I don't believe this is the staff or maybe even the managers fault, but I will likely go back and try again and update the review at a later date.

During my dining experience at bar one , Madi was my server, such a friendly happy experience. Food was excellent!

Its always a great e perience to go to a restaraurant like "Bar One" in Dartmouth,Enjoy great food and the Server/Waitress is super experienced,friendly knowlegeable.Beautiful smile my husband and I were very pleased because we have had some bad experiences at restaurants.We will definately be back.Thankyou Maddie,you are a treasure.
