Beef noodle soup is pure medicine. Saved my life on a chilly night feeling under the weather. Staff are delightful!
Very good and authentic food! Portion is small but it’s all very filling. 10/10 and definitely will be coming back for a comforting bowl of noodles!!
Excellent noods! Hand pulled and delicious ❤️
Back at Bao and Noodle and it’s even better than before! Service was wonderful: super friendly and attentive. Cool space! Great veg/vegan options with excellent pulled noodles, spot on Sichuan flavors and pots of Chrysanthemum tea. Love this place, can’t wait to return.
In town for a wedding reception, and really wanted some fresh noodles. And Bao and Noodle delivered! Just got an order of Bao and the Cumin Lamb Biang Biang noodles. Beyond amazing! Flavor was fantastic and yummy and so worth it to go out of the way to visit this little place.
The food was very good, full of flavor but very salty. Ambiance was nice. I can't say much about the service as it is mostly self-service (grab your own napkin/water, glass, and order food at the counter). A smile or two might have helped, but amen.
I eat here every other weekend. ok, every weekend. Best restaurant on this side of town, period. from Manhattan to Silverlake - these are the best Dan Dan noodles anywhere. Home made, used to be numb your mouth spicy, but it's far more tolerable now and still So delicious. You can get the numbing spice in other dishes. The bao is fun to eat. I get noodles without pork (I don't eat pork, though in New Orleans it's not possible to eat without alittle cochon in your food). and the tea salad, full of nuts seeds cabbage and vinaigrette so refreshing. This is a family operation, most nights just one waitress. and one cook with one helper on salads and dishes. The exceptional food is served in this humble environment. Bao and Moodle used to be in a more charming location near the old Sound Cafe but lost their lease. I miss the wider menu they offered there. Bad timing had them launch the new location at the onset of Covid. But they -and we- hung in there. They have a nice patio as well as the front and ba k eating areas. We are always surprised so few guest are there but it’s our gain for we can go any. time and get the one table by the window. and listen to very cool music not played too loud. Usually. I do hope they return to their full menu, the egg scallion thing was very good. These folks work hard and make great authentic Chinese food. oh - Don't order dan dan if you can't abide spicey food. This place is for hot Southern palettes. Vegetarian options: Very pleasant low key and particularly Marigny
