A Gauntlet of Disappointment Rating: ⭐️ As Thanos, the Mad Titan, I have conquered galaxies and brought civilizations to their knees with a snap of my fingers. However, even I was not prepared for the disappointment that awaited me at Bangkok Garden. Upon entering, I was greeted by an atmosphere devoid of any semblance of cosmic majesty. The décor was lackluster, reminiscent of a forgotten outpost on the edge of the universe. The ambiance lacked the vibrant energy one would expect from a place named after a bustling metropolis. The menu offered a lackluster selection of Thai cuisine, each dish a pale imitation of its namesake. The flavors were uninspired, leaving my mighty palate yearning for the taste of victory rather than the bland offerings before me. But the true betrayal came when it was time to settle the bill. As a Marvel character, I am accustomed to wielding power and influence, yet the owner of Bangkok Garden saw fit to deceive me. Despite my contributions to the universe, they dared to shortchange me on my paycheck, a grievous offense that even the Infinity Stones could not rectify. In conclusion, Bangkok Garden is a restaurant worthy of oblivion. Its lackluster cuisine and deceitful practices leave much to be desired, even by the standards of a cosmic conqueror. Thanos may be merciful in his conquests, but he finds no mercy for establishments that fail to meet even the lowest of expectations.
5 years ago, I gave this place high marks for great food. I normally get the Phat Thai. I returned last spring after a long absence. Did not find my dish that great. It used to be in a peanut sauce. Now it seems more like a peanut broth. Thin & runny. And a 3rd of the dish was just plain cabbage. There are other Thai places in town so I don't think I will be back soon.
