I Have been eating here for YEARS...Went for my birthday and it was terrible....it had been going downhill but today not 1 thing we ordered from appetizers to rest of food was even close to good! Rude service ....when we told server she brought wrong plate she totally argued with us...So very sad to say Will NOT Be going back So much for A great Birthday Lunch

As of March 2024, this is the best Chinese food I've had in the area, and I've tried a lot.

Awesome food

This is a lovely Chinese food venue. The food - sans msg - was delicious; the portions for the lunch I enjoyed were quite ample. The staff was friendly.

Servers never engaged! Dropped off food and left. Weird….

Had lunch with friends last week at Bambu Garden and was very disappointed with the food and service which use to be good. Instead, the quality and quantity of the food has substantially decreased along with the apathetic and unfriendly service. I ordered “Chicken with tender greens”. I asked the server if I could substitute the meat imperial egg roll for a vegetarian egg roll, and she sternly said no. It should not have been so difficult for the server to accommodate my request, as the vegetarian egg roll was probably already pre-made with less cost than the meat egg roll. There was hardly any chicken on my plate - only a few small pieces. The small portion of vegetables was overcooked bok choy and a few odd-shaped sliced carrots. The only substantial portion was the steamed rice (rice is cheap). The food had no flavor and was bland. I felt hungry after eating my lunch. My friends’ portions were also small except, of course, for the rice. My friend wanted to take home all of her soup which was included with her lunch, but two servers quibbled back and forth and finally reluctantly gave her a carry-out cup for her soup. In comparison, today my husband and I had lunch at a different Chinese restaurant in Roseville. Our food portions were double that of Bambu Garden, including the chicken, and the price was the same! Upon ordering, and before we asked our server, she voluntarily asked if we wanted the pork or vegetable egg roll (which is included with the lunch). This attentiveness of our friendly server was unlike the server we had at Bambu Garden who sternly and emphatically told me that she won’t substitute a vegetable egg roll instead of the pork egg roll. There are far better choices of good Chinese restaurants in Roseville. When we go out to eat we expect good, quality food with decent portions and good, friendly service. Bambu Garden has failed in all these aspects, and their inferior meals and service are not worth the price that they charge.

Everything we ordered came out fast and delicious except for the hot and sour soup. Too much pepper and level of sourness is too concentrated

First time trying this restaurant, and first impressions weren’t great. I walked in and two of the staff just looked at me while I stood waiting to be seated/helped. There was no communication such as “Be right with you” or otherwise. However, I did not have to wait long for service. I ordered the lunch special to go that came with choice of steamed or fried rice, a spring roll, and a small salad. I ordered the orange chicken as my entree and asked for spicy. The staff member told me that the orange chicken is already spicy, so did I want extra spicy? Since I hadn’t been here before I wasn’t sure how spicy extra spicy would be, so I chose to leave it at just spicy. And that was a mistake. It had barely any spice to it and it was EXTREMELY sweet. So much so that I could only eat half. If you like sweet, you’ll love it. It was just too much for me. Otherwise, the food was fresh and hot, and I think had I gone with extra-extra spicy it would have maybe balanced out the sugary sweetness of the sauce. I would try this place again.
