Awesome food drinks and service
A Taste of Dilworth’s Finest: Bakersfield Tacos, Tequila, and Whiskey Tucked away in the charming Dilworth area of Charlotte, Bakersfield stands out as a beacon of culinary delight, setting the scene with a comfortable ambiance where the air is filled with the sounds of people reveling in good company and great food. The adventure began with a simple yet irresistible queso and chips, a classic starter that set the tone for the flavorsome journey ahead. But the true stars of the evening were the tacos - a testament to Bakersfield’s mastery over this beloved dish. The fried Cobia fish taco, with its perfectly crispy exterior giving way to tender, flavorful fish, was elevated by the refreshing crunch of coleslaw and the smooth, rich touch of crema. Not to be outdone, the bang bang shrimp taco was a flavor explosion, perfectly balancing spice and sweetness, ensuring each bite was as memorable as the last. What truly sets Bakersfield apart isn’t just its food but the value it offers. Reasonably priced, each dish feels like a generous nod to the diner’s wallet, assuring you that here, your satisfaction is of paramount importance. In conclusion, Bakersfield is not merely a restaurant; it’s a return and burn spot that guarantees your visit won’t be your last. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, missing out on the experience at Bakersfield would be a missed opportunity for any culinary enthusiast. Their blend of comfortable atmosphere, outstanding flavors, and undeniable value makes Bakersfield a gem in Charlotte’s dining scene.
Very expensive for what you get, $45 for pitcher of margaritas, mostly ice, charged $50 on the receipt. I suppose they tipped the bartender, that didn't serve us, for me. The waiter filled the small glasses the 1st time. Don't bartenders get paid to mix a drink anymore? Also, the pitcher & the small whiskey glasses were BOTH FULL of ice. The pitcher refilled our 3 glasses once. So $8.33 per glass, 3-4 sips. Tiny tacos maybe 2" across for $4.50 EACH. A cold tiny soft shell, but a tasty 2 bites :) not much prep. I had 2 different veggie tacos. Cauliflower side was very tasty, but again $6.00 for a side? Their food is very valuable. There were 4 plates stacked on table when we sat down, I went to distribute them and the middle one had food still on it! Pretty nasty! The girl from kitchen, bringing the chips, saw it and apologized. The waiter was nice and informative (the reason I gave the ⭐) I was surprised reading others reviews, they are not very positive, but yet they'd give 4 ⭐. It was all ok, but I wouldn't go back. Too many other reasonable places to eat. Well over $100.00 for 3 girls. Doubling the ice, in the pitcher & glasses, was a brilliant move Bakersfield a first for me. Note: I probably wouldn't be so disappointed with the tiny tacos if the salsa & chips were included in the price.
It's a little loud, but food is great and margaritas are fabulous!
I'm writing this review after visiting Bakersfield five times in a row. I'm so disappointed with the customer service we have received every single time at the bar. The short hair blonde bartender, specifically has been the culprit 3/5 times we have visitied. She not only rushes us, but rolls her eyes when we walk up to the bar. It doesnt matter what time we come in, but it feels like our presence is a inconvenience to her! We love the food, but dining at bar, NOT WORTH IT! The food no longer out weighs the service. Such a disappointment.
Tacos were extremely small, and not worth it at all. They tasted good and the place was nice but would not recommend if you are hungry.
Cons: Tables are placed very close to one another... Pros: Food is spectacular
Place is always packed, make a reservation or you could be waiting a while. Food is great and a good variety to choose from.
