Avalon Brew Pub

We go to Avalon several times a year and we always try to get lunch from the Avalon Brew Pub. We stay one block away at the Concord and if we can't eat in we get to go which is just as good. The food is consistently wonderful and the service is good. I recommend the Brew Pub!

My friends and I came into town for a girls weekend and stumbled upon this spot when searching for a good place to grab beers, sandwiches, and salads. Boy, I’m glad we did! Yes, the food was delicious (the turkey Rueben, y’all—omg!!), the beer tasty (woa, the amber was great!), and the atmosphere fabulous (the keg ceiling is so cool!), but the highlight was the service. Sue was incredible. She was efficient, professional, and oh-so-friendly. She had terrific suggestions for beer and food. We all could tell that she was a favorite server—another couple came in and was excited that she was there and greeted her by name. We so enjoyed our dining experience at Avalon pub and grill. We told Sue that she was the best server we’d had all weekend, and it was the absolute truth. We’ll be back!

We enjoyed everything about this place. We wish the weather would have been nicer so we could hang outside, but everything was comfortable inside. Super nice waiter. Everything was well kept and clean and updated. We had the pepperoni pizza and it had delicious flavor and a great crust! We wished we had just ordered one for my husband and myself. It is marketed as a 9” personal pizza, but there were 6 pieces and we had way too much! Not over or undercooked. The drinks were fun and delicious.

We came here on a Sunday night and ordered our appetizer first (pretzel) and then two entrees. We did wait a rather long time when our entrees then came out before our appetizer. Our appetizer followed a minute later and when I told the person who brought our entree out that we didn’t even get our appetizer yet he simply said “oh well that’s how the kitchen works. The food comes out when it’s ready” and walked away. I was really confused because I’ve never had an appetizer come out after the entrees and no apology was offered? Also something funny to note but my husband ordered their standard old fashioned and the waitress asked if he wanted tequila or vodka with it? He laughed and said “good one” but she was being serious. We couldn’t tell if she was was new or not but hopefully they can train staff better and figure out the timing with appetizers coming out before entrees

Visited for lunch and everything was great! We tried the burgers, Bavarian pretzel and summer salad. Everyone enjoyed their choice. The atmosphere was good. Would recommend.

I “went out to dinner” at this establishment, and the treatment was extremely improper. managers would discuss private matters with employees, such as medical info. the gossip was absolutely never ending, and started as soon as you walked away. the manager, katelyn- stole property that did not belong to her. The busser and runner in the kitchen, had hair that went past their eyebrows, nearly to the shoulders, but would be allowed to lean all over the expediting counter. If you asked someone in the kitchen, such as the chef, or sous chef, they would act too good to help, even with heavy trash. The managers sat back in their office most of the shift, not helping. Tables constantly sit because people will watch you running around, but won’t inform you of the table. People were also always bringing their dogs inside, when that’s a health department violation, dogs are dirty. I see this wasn’t a me issue because another reviewer had the same issue. I have reached out to HR multiple times, to receive no response back, or even an apology. Distasteful.
