Truly authentic, not American Italian.
Amazing authentic Italian food!!!!! Surprised to find this gem in Yuma.
Real Italian food in Yuma? What??! Mario met his wife in San Diego 11 years ago. Luckily for us, he's sharing a real food experience in this awesome hideaway. If you're looking for date night, catering, or a fun place to invite friends, this is it.
We were a group of three friends from San Diego, visiting Yuma for business. After checking the reviews, we decided to have lunch at this place, I am glad we did, Mario (the owner) was a fantastic host, and the food was amazing.
***Easily 5 stars*** My wife and I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon this place while traveling in Yuma / Los Algodones on a dental holiday. Not far off the beaten path, but inside the Colorado River National State Park in Yuma. Yes! I said inside the state park. No worries, though, as you walk through the gift shop to enter they will give you a voucher for the restaurant to stamp so you do not have to pay park admission. The Italian restaurant is in the next building right next to the gift shop. We walked into the restaurant and were seated and waited upon by none other than the proprietor himself, Mario. He answered our initial questions and gave us a few suggestions, including a lovely Tuscan red wine. Authentic Italian food with ingredients imported from Italy. We ended up ordering a three meat antipasti and the suppressata pinsa romana. Both were deliciouso! Three meats, three cheeses, arugula, kalamata olives, delicious olive oil etc. Pizza with tasty sauce, mozzarella, and the spicy suppressata. See pictures with this review. We will definitely be back when in the area.
Tiny place, sort of hard to find. Behind the Yuma historic state park. The pizza is great. It is artisan style. Best pizza I’ve had in Yuma. By far.
