Ascend is well known for the sushi, surf and turf, but I'm OVER THE MOON for the beet salad with bread service. Well done, Chef Brandon. Well done, indeed.

I can say last night in one word - magical! Magical interior, magical staff and service, magical food and cocktails, magical desserts! Thank you so much for the quality service! I've been to many restaurants in the world, but there are only a few such great restaurants!!!! By the way luxury steak is incredible!!!

My husband and I are regulars of Ascend and cannot give them enough praise. The food is amazing, the staff go above and beyond to accommodate, and the ambience is unbeatable. This our favorite restaurant in Washington! We look forward to many more celebrations at Ascend. Recommendations - the caviar service is always a delight as a starter. We also enjoy the magic mushroom for dessert! The wagyu selections are unique and amazing. I highly recommend the omakase, king salmon belly, and otoro sashimi as well.

The ambiance at this restaurant is pleasant, but unfortunately, they engage in racial discrimination. Many of my Asian friends have requested window seats when making reservations, only to be told that they cannot reserve them. However, upon arrival, we noticed several empty window seats, yet they refused to accommodate our request, citing prior reservations. This inconsistency blatantly reveals their discriminatory practices.

This restaurant BY ITSELF is an architectural masterpiece, an epitome of exquisite and divine beauty beyond description. However, the experience was tarnished by subpar treatment and inattentive service. The staff seemed indifferent, lacking in the art of hospitality and quick to judge guests based on superficial appearances. While the architect executed a stunning design for the restaurant, its location within a shopping mall somewhat detracts from its perceived opulence and the beauty of the restaurant and the potential it possess STUNNING VIEW. My wife and I were really glad we decided to have our 30th anniversary dinner here. The first thing we noticed was the atmosphere, it was peaceful, clean and the staff very professional. These types of dinners are a splurge for us, so it’s nice when they go out of their way to make your celebration memorable. Now my wife wants to back next week for her birthday. My only complaint was we were first seated facing north into a couple condo buildings, we asked to be moved to a west facing table, then we were seated at a table so only one of us was facing west.

Mediocre small portioned food, but the view is great. Not worth the price tag whatsoever.
