Applebee's Grill + Bar

Not so hot smashed potatoes that is as a matter of fact both my wife and my smashed potatoes were ice cold the other food item were very hot however , our server Brook started off very well but after she took our order she no longer came back , we even had to ask the young lady that seated us for silverware after our food arrived and that was long before brook was seated with an 11 seating , so no streak sauce or other drink refills etc. Once she did bring the bill to explain about the 11 seating the bill showed a 3$ charge for adding cheese to my already included broccoli order which seemed a little high but it was what it was by than. She did apolize to the people behind us that were her customers that had just be seated about the 11 placed taking alot of time and she did have someone else come and take their food order. So I tipped her above 20 percent anyway even though she did not honestly earn it. I would not go back into this applees if in the johnson city area in the future. Best regards Don Blaylock

I went to Applebee's @ 9:00... Hoping to avoid as many people as possible and have a couple of adult beverages... And Dinner...Upon entering and sitting at the bar I was greeted by both the bartender on duty along with one of the bartender's that sat at the bar but was not working... I later found out she was sitting with her Father and another friend I am not sure whether she also worked there or not... They were all 3 visibly intoxicated... The Father became increasingly belligerent and it was obvious he intended to ruin someone's night... Turns out it was mine... He took straws and was blowing the paper wrappers off of them in my direction... The bartender on duty noticed and asked him what if he had hit me with the paper... To which I replied... I think that is his intention... He continued with his sarcasm that was obviously aimed at me and in true Applebee's form the bartender on duty or the bartender sitting at the bar did nothing to put a stop to his behavior... At one point the manager on duty emerged from the back... Giving the bartender on duty the opportunity to ask her... Since she wouldn't... To put a stop to the drunk Father's behavior... I do however believe she was witness to it herself... She eventually sat down beside the 3 of them having conversation and laughing along with them... I think it is important to add I never said a word to the drunk Father... Finally it became so apparent that he was trying to engage me... That I sat there waiting for him to say something to me directly... He had become the very kind of person I had waited 'til almost closing to avoid and I was beyond aggravated... As I left I said something to the bartender and within ear shot of the manager on duty about his behavior... Neither one of them offered any apology... I think it is also important to add that all 3 had obviously been over served...and left driving intoxicated.... Which further proves... not only the obvious lack of concern for the patrons... But their disregard for the safety of the people on the road...

I have been to this Applebee's many times since the 1990's. Usually everything is spot on. Except today. From the minute my wife and I were greeted to the 30+ minutes to receive our food, everything was very poor. Long story short, we had to ask for the manager. "Rocky," the manager, was polite and understanding. He did his best to rectify the poor service and food. His ability to handle the situation is the main reason we will return.

I'm a door dash driver and it is IMPOSSIBLE to even attempt to get help when you get there!! You have to holler at someone just to get acknowledged!

Was drugged by bartender & ID money stolen. Complete setup ripped off Wheelchair accessibility: Never problem always paid bill till they drug me causing loss of ID & credit cards but I have backup. Amazing who will prey on crippled.
