I went to Apollo on Thursday night with a friend. The food was delicious and clearly made with so much love and pride. And the service was so exceptional that I was compelled to write a review. Despite the fact that it was a packed house, Michelle, Jansen, and Daniel made us feel like we were the only people there. They were super attentive and sweet. Thank you for a beautiful night!
Delicious food & excellent service.
The food was amazing! Crab Mac and cheese was so good!! had the angel hair pasta half portion I can’t imagine what the full portion would be like!! It was amazing! I will be going back and having dessert!! They looked so good but was too full
Calamari for the 2nd time was overcooked and dark brown we won’t be ordering it anymore, perhaps won’t even eat here much anymore. It’s commercialized, greasy and frozen. It used to be fresh and pop in your mouth lightly fried, light golden and fresh and firm. Not anymore. The cobb salad was okay. Frozen shrimp didn’t get my vote either. Wine wasn’t chilled well. This establishment has turned into a typical local joint.
Soups are doctored up - they should be homemade recipes there?? Not impressed with the meals The red wine was good quality Totally disappointed for what looked like a class place - CAN DO BETTER MANAGEMENT?
Didn’t care for the food. Great atmosphere and service though.
This place was a hit and miss with us. Make sure you have reservations as we almost didn't get in as a walk in. Ordered the crab and asparagus soup which was fantastic. French onion soup had the thickness of brown gravy. While tasty, it was odd. Burrata toast was just ok. I liked the calamari. My brisket sandwich was terrible. Incredibly tough and tasteless. I was told it was southern bbq style but it was cold cut type brisket with bbq sauce. I couldn't eat it with the bun because it just was too chewy and wouldn't tear. Being from the south I expected something southern like at least. It wasnt. Hubby had the short rib melt which was good but needed a bit more flavor according to him. Sweet potato fries were really good. Took home a slice of the Mexican chocolate cake which was huge and delicious. Service was fantastic. What a sweet guy. Unfortunately we probably won't be back as there are better places out there.
Great restaurant week lunch! The food is delicious! The French onion soup was super thick, and the croutons were the perfect crunch contrast from the velvety smooth broth. The breading on the fish was light and crunchy, and everything came out super hot. The service was excellent at the bar. Too bad it was mid week during the work day, because they make a great dirty martini and really any cocktail.
