I recently bought some Cheese Danishes. OMG they are so good! Even better than the legendary Chomedey Bakery (aka the Dirty Bakery).
We bought Lagana, the traditional Greek Clean Monday bread. It is a flat very crispy on the outside with hardly any soft inside bread, almost like a focaccia. This bread was soft on the outside and too fluffy inside and out, not at all reminiscent of the traditional lagana. Too bad.
My best friend, Myranda, surprised me with a delightful birthday gift: a box of macarons and a heavenly raspberry lemon cake from Ambrosia. I couldn't help but feel spoiled by her thoughtfulness. The macarons were bliss. Melt. In. Your. Mouth. DELICIOUS. Buttery. Goodness. I thought I didn't like macarons, but turns out, I've never had good ones before! And then there was THE CAKE – a masterpiece of culinary craftsmanship. With its fluffy texture and just the right amount of sweetness, it was like biting into a cloud. The tangy lemon with the tartness of raspberries - SUBLIME. The cake is quintessential, like the one you'd imagine in summer garden tea party dreams. I can't wait to visit to Ambrosia's shop in Laval to explore more of their treats. Bravo, Ambrosia, for creating such unforgettable culinary delights!!! You've earned a lifelong fan in me.
I went to get a box of eclairs and was really disappointed. Zero taste, too much cream. Same for the tarte. Good customer service though.
Great Greek pastry amazing baklava and everything there is awesome and too many to list. Great gift items Atmosphere is lovely People are knowledgeable and helpful Pricing is a little high and portions are not commensurate but on the plus the food is great all around. Kid-friendliness: Yes
