Food disgusting, chips fried in dirty oil. Curry bland, rice completely tasteless. My 5 year old wouldn't even eat hers. And the hospitality staff are rude and unwelcoming. After paying £800 for 2 nights, you would expect the hotel to have a restaurant and staff to a half decent standard. The entertainment staff and our themed room was great, but the food....
This exclusive restaurant should be the go-to place for kids and parents looking to keep the experience in the CBeebies hotel going - only bookable for the families staying at CBeebies hotel, you would think this reflects the premium branded experience so far; sadly it’s a dismal, sad place that should be avoided Having insisted we sit no sooner than 6:45pm (despite there only being 5 tables and 3 “staff”) we went into the restaurant. The decor is really good: it’s branded vibrant and lots to look at. And that is where the fun ends. Walking between dirty tables we are sat by a miserable staff member. It is silent. No music. Nothing Menus aren’t provided so we go find them and try to keep the kids entertained while we choose from the usual chicken/fish/chips. Staff meander in and out, some picking up 1 plate, or chatting to each other. After 15 mins I go to find one as I’ve been ready to order for 14, and find him texting on his phone While waiting for an order we had the most miserable rendition of happy birthday (for the table next to us) - it was utterly abismal. For the premium kids experience, you could be at a service station. This place should be avoided by families- the food is mediocre but the worst offence is the lack of any atmosphere, excitement or experience
