Altadena Pie Lady

We decided to splurge this year and pay more for pies than we’ve ever spent on a dessert for our family’s Thanksgiving meal. Should have just dealt with the Costco crowd instead. The pies (Apple and pumpkin) were simply inedible. My wife, I, and my mother-in-law could not tolerate more than a bite of each. The crusts of both pies were undercooked on the bottom and the edges tasted like smoke. The pumpkin filling was acceptable but not exceptional. However, the apple filling was nasty with a smoky chemical flavor. My wife literally spit her first bite out of her mouth into a napkin. Clearly our experience was not similar to others who have reviewed these pies, but this was our experience and given how expensive these pies are this was simply unacceptable.

I was looking to purchase some pies to celebrate my son's birthday. Altadena Pie Lady (Alyson) pop up from my search and I couldn't be happier. We ordered the Blue Hawaiian, and the Blackberry-Apple pie with the crumble topping. They were both delicious and Alyson is very pleasant too! Looking forward to purchasing more items very soon.

Thank you for the best apple pie and carrot cake I’ve ever had! We also had some raspberry butter cookies that just melted in our mouths and now we’re craving them…how can we get more? So glad to have found you.

We tried the apple and pumpkin pies and they were superb! We brought them to a Thanksgiving dinner, heated per Alyson's directions and they were perfect! My favorite is the lattice crust apple pie, absolutely the best I have ever had. Not too sweet, the apples were cooked but had a little crunch in them, not mushy...just enough spices compliment the flavorful crust and fruit. (Pricey but a real treat and worth it!)

This has to be the best home made pie I have had in a very long time! I've tried both the carrot cake and the berry pie heart cut out pie. Just so delicious! In looking through the menu there are so many Gluten Free, Keto, Sugar Free, and Vegan options! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
