This is for my son who turned 18, first official night out with friends. He was wearing £200 Vivienne Westwood Trousers, however according to the Door persons, not good enough to enter. The Door persons then proceeded to humiliate and shout the most vile abuse at him. He was absolutely mortified. To swear and use this abhorrent language and tell him to go away “stupid little boy” (he’s 6ft tall)! Several Door Persons thought this was hilarious behaviour. The Acting Manager on a telephone call was incredibly dismissive and disrespectful towards me. Someone in this position should have full knowledge of what a complaints procedure is? The Manager did not return a phone call. These Door Persons have no excuse to say it’s their job to carry out such behaviour. What a shame because the venue could be excellent, yet these Door People behave and bully customers outside. The Manager needs to address this and not just ignore as it could erupt into something more sinister, any form of abuse or humiliation is wholly unacceptable.
Great bar for live music and a late drink
I would like to say a special thank you to bar tender Owen, he was very accommodating and patient despite my autism and made me feel welcome and not a burden at all
Went on a Friday night. Unusual these days but you are charged to enter but we caught the end of a really good band. Bar service was good, good atmosphere too.
