Upon arrival, there were about 20 people in lobby waiting. The Manager/Owner came to the counter and looked me dead in my face and walked away. He came back about 3 minutes later. I asked how long the wait would be. He replied in a very SNOTTY TONE..."I don't know, you see all these people here....It could be 5 minutes....or an hour or 2 hours". I walked away. Wasabi doesn't deserve one dime of my money that I work hard for. Up yours. I wish I could give less than 1 star
Very attentive servers and extremely fresh food. The fish was fresh and tasted absolutely delicious and the price for an ace meal was very reasonable.
It’s not bad for a Japanese restaurant run exclusively by Chinese folks, but kind of like and Italian restaurant run by the French for me. They know what they need to do, but they aren’t fixing THEIR food, so you get what you’d expect. Can’t complain about the price, the options are OK, but the quality isn’t what you’ll get in Kyoto. Then again, you aren’t in Kyoto. So what do you want? It’s a slightly above average sushi meal….in NY. Go with appropriate expectations and you’ll be impressed.
Great food, however make sure you make some time because good food takes some time.
