We had the lamb biryani, palak paneer, garlic naan, and a mango lassi. Food was delicious, portions generous and service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend!
Food was great (get the garlic naan) and service was excellent. Will go again.
Great place if you like Indian. The owner is very friendly and the chef is outstanding.
We carry out from Al Hamra often. The food is delicious! Highly recommend
I absolutely love this gem of an Indian place...each and every dish is amazing. Great take -out but also as dine in. I almost don't want people to know but the owners deserve the accolades...
We were traveling for business and we wanted some Indian food. We looked up this location and traveled to it. When we arrived, we were received with a warm welcome and shown to our seats. We then had a good discussion with the waiter. He recommended a few things and we took him at his word. It was all delicious. We had Lamb Makhani with a medium spice level and cilantro lime rice. We also had the Chicken Biryani with butter garlic naan bread. This is a place I would go back to again either on a business trip or for pleasure.
We went here to try something different from the norm in Scottsdale. Everything is either Tex-mex, Italian, or a steak joint. Indian cuisine is a rarity. We are so glad that we did. The food was fantastic, and the service was, as well. However, the waiter was at our table too often. It was kinda weird. We were the only patrons in the restaurant when we got there. That typically worries me, but I'm glad that we stuck it out. The food was phenomenal. I'm not Indian, so I have no idea what is authentic and what is not. All I know is that I enjoy Indian food, and this place was good. The Tikka was spicy but not overpowering. You can order your spice level, which is typical. The only weird dish was the chicken kabob. It was kind of a mince meat. Funky. It's not my jam, but you may enjoy it. Everything else from the Tikka to the Naan to the lentils, the tofu was flavorful and seemed fresh. The wine list sucked, but not too many people are going to an Indian restaurant expecting an extraordinary wine list. Give it a try. You just might find that new favorite spot...
I may be too stuffed of delicious food to verbalize the deliciousness of the experience I just had. We think they may serve the best lentil soup we've ever had (3 peeps opinions), and it says it's organic! I can say that is the best garlic Naan I've ever had. Perfectly crispy, yet fluffy & thick, but still thin and nicely buttered with a reasonable amount of garlic. The rice was also perfect. The 3 entrées were completely devoured, and my friend said the lamb was cooked perfectly, and the chicken meat is all white meat. The service was great, and the establishment was very clean and classy. I look forward to returning.
Always available tables and the food is the best in town. Owners and staff are super friendly.
