Adolf Baron opened his Tavern in 1934. The Tavern was a mainstay for the many Polish in the Ward through the years, with the Irish finding their own spots, such as Hagan's Pub. After Adolf's son Eddie began running the Tavern in the late 1960's and Hagan's burned down, Adolf's became one of the most popular spots in the Ward for all. A neighborhood place to drink a few cold beers and enjoy hand prepared meals, including fresh roast beef and fish frys. In 2014, after renovations made the old new again, the Tavern Team has one goal - to be what the Tavern has always been - a simple place for friends and for family to gather. So enjoy the coldest beer in town, delicious handmade meals, and of course, a few rounds of laughter!
