We went to Abu Bakr after reading some reviews. Prices are same as everywhere. Someone gave an amazing review and recommended this place for ready meals on the display. Apart from the groceries , we bought Chapli Kababs, Chicken kababs, veg samosas and Chicken Biryani. Both the kababs were good. Samosa was too oily and absolutely tasteless. Coming to Biryani, what a cheat that was. £3.99 for a very small box. Even a restaurant would serve more for this amount. Definitely the guy behind the counter had an intention of fooling outsiders. Coming to the taste of Biryani, it was like eating a very basic pulav. It was disappointing.

Always go to this supermarket due to the availability of groceries, great prices and friendly staff. I love that most of the staff speak gujerati!

I had purchased the Rice from Abu bakr on 25 Feb 2024. in the tag price was already mentioned in the packet which was 13.99£ for 10kg. I took it and queued for the payment, in the payment process they already scanned it and asked for payment, but after I reached home and saw the receipt it was already deducting 17.99£ . I don't know what happened with me? If the price tag was clear in the packet 13.99£ why they charge 17.99£ ?? What`s the charge of 4£ ?? Concerned authorities kindly respond to it??

Indian items are available. But veggies and fruits are not that much like in Morrisons. Meat items are available.
