A Peculiar Tea

Went for afternoon tea, the food was presented lovely. However the service wasn’t what I expected. We waited over 1hour for our sweet course after having the savoury. Our booking was for 14.15. We didn’t receive our sweet selection to approximately 16:00. Staff were friendly, and we got additional tea/coffee upon request. However no one came to check on how our meal was or check if we had enough tea/coffee. Tea and coffee took a while to come and when the coffee came it was lukewarm. Pleasant setting and well presented food. Staff were accommodating when we required anything.

I had heard of A peculiar tea before from friends and I wanted to experience it myself .. You are incredible.. had one of the best experiences there . The theme for our dinner was Harry Potter .. and was it creative ? … 5 for that !! Food was not only creative but it was delicious … Service staff were very attentive . The tasting menu for the price was absolutely worth it .. thanks for making our dinner special !

Incredible experience, food was exquisite, beautifully presented and very tasty. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Definitely worth the money.

I absolutely loved this place, from the moment we arrived till we left we were treated like we were the only ones in the restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious, we have booked again for afternoon tea in a few weeks time. I would highly recommend.

Amazing through and through! The food was fabulous on the tasting menu, paired with with the recommended wine.. outstanding! So creative and I love the theme ideas! We have just come home from the Alice in wonderland evening, and we will certainly be back to try the others… hoping a Harry Potter theme will be back soon! Atmosphere would have been fabulous, just a little bit of a rowdy table near us, not a big deal really and certainly not the restaurants fault but shouting to speak to my partner was a little irritating Staff were more than attentive and extremely on point!
