A Foreign Taste

The food was okay, nothing special for the prices and they were out of some basic things. The service was top notch! It was so hot inside the restaurant we were all sweating. This was during the winter, and they kept opening the front door to try to cool it down some. Unfortunately when we were only a few feet from the open door, we were freezing within a minute. As soon as the door closed, it was back to sweating again.

A Foreign Taste was an excellent opportunity to experience different food dishes. I am impressed with the Chefs Tasting Menu. Dishes were served and introduced elegantly by staff; the chef even checked our table halfway through our tastings to ensure we were satisfied. Furthermore, the restaurant owner visited customer tables to introduce the chef and get feedback from customers. This in itself is confirmation A Foreign Taste cares and cooks to impress. The atmosphere is clean, quiet and very cozy.

What to say about A Foreign Taste? They have excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices and the taste menu is incredible but that’s not all, if you add the wine pairing to that, wow that is outstanding. Make your reservation in advance.

You have to go to this restaurant, it will blow your mind!! The food is amazing and the service can’t bebeat!! They’re so friendly and attentive!! Thank you for a wonderful date night!! 9 years and counting!!!

Completely worth the price, the food and the service are fabulous!! Every bite was delicious, the atmosphere is amazing.

Slow, expensive and not the greatest food Presentation is pretty but not worth it. .

Had a reservation and started cleaning before we were done. She bought the reserve wine and I purchased the reg wine paring. When we priced the reserve wine it was $15-$20 a bottle of wine for a few onces each course when we researched it. Curious to know what I paid for for tasting on the cheaper level. He called it the Hyvee wine. For a $300 meal seems like a scam and I would definitely try the food and skip the wine. Then pick up your wine of choice on the way home. I feel like being not knowable on wine I was taken advantage of.
