Lovely staff, nice clean space and amazing coffee! Also good with kids and dogs, would highly recommend!
I do like the cafe however they are a little overpriced for their coffees. A regular sized Latte at The Place only costs £3.30 and they use La Marzocca which are like the Lamborghinis of the coffee machines.
Nice friendly cafe with caring pleasant staff. Only complaint is the sourdough dishes are horribly overpriced- £7 for a slice of sourdough with one egg and a small side salad is ridiculous.
Dog friendly, decent enough wifi, coffee comes with a small bickie
I’ve been coming to this coffee shop since it first opened and over the last few visits noticed the service getting colder. Today I was sitting at a table with my wife at the counter ordering and was sternly asked have I ordered by the barista. I replied no and said my wife is at the counter ready the order but again he repeated the question bordering on aggressive. Definitely the final straw, previous times I’ve been pleasant to the workers and met with contempt. A real shame and unfortunately last time I will be visiting.
This is a wonderful location, lovely vibes and friendly atmosphere, with fantastic coffee and a reasonable price. The 4 star rating reflects their pastry offerings which are overpriced and not great quality (honestly you could get better and much cheaper in your local supermarket). I want to give this place a 5 stars for everything else, but they do need to work on this. If it’s coffee you need and coffee alone this place is 5 star
Coffee still best in the street
Very pleasant cafe for an Americano with cold milk.
Great spot for a coffee and catch up. They also were very welcoming of children pottering around. Kid-friendliness: My friend and I had our children aged 2-3yrs pottering around the cafe and the staff were very welcoming of this.
