4.5. Nice cocktail menu, food is always good, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere. They will take special requests if they are able to. It is not a Michelin star restaurant, if that is what you are looking for, but it is a hidden gem in Westfield. The food is always fresh and there is an eclectic feel of the restaurant itself. My wife and I have dined here several times without a complaint and the staff is always friendly. It is our go-to as a last minute option as it seems to be underrated and a reservation is usually not needed. The other plus is that they are open slightly later than other establishments in the area.
We went to bistro for a repass. The staff was amazing. Food delicious. We were very impressed on how they accommodated us . 100% will be back ! Cute eclectic place !
Friendly, attentive service without being too much. Live music was a plus and enjoyable. Wine could have been chilled a bit more but that's my preference. Ordered the Lobster Rossito and Chirizo Muscles. The Lobster Rossito was ok but bland. The order of Muscles were were served, only half were opened.
I was hopeful about finding a great wine bar in town but unfortunately 16 Prospect didn't meet the bar for me. My husband and I each tried a few wines and ordered the charcuterie board for an appetizer - which was comprised of crackers you can find at ShopRite and low quality cheeses. Wines were okay, though they are run-of-the-mill options you can find almost anywhere, so I struggle to consider this place a wine bar. Seems like they have a good selection of beer and cocktails, but again we were looking for a more premium wine experience and did not find it here. Service was slow but polite.
I attempted to have a drink at the EMPTY bar but was rudely denied entry by the hostess, who claimed "the system was down for walk-ins." As someone who has worked in the industry, I've never encountered such an excuse.
Grew up in town but moved out 20 years ago about 2 hours north. My family is still there so I met them there for dinner recently. The town I now live in is a working class no-nonsense meat and potatoes town. My point is I have become more acclimated to that mindset. With this, I always stop at McDonald's for dinner before meeting at any of these unknown types of places to avoid dissapointment. Insurance if you will. After digesting my Quarter Pounder meal the food at 16 Prospect looked pretty good while I nursed a beer and had a bowl of soup. Next time I will not be stopping at the golden arches if they want to meet here again. This place seemed like it had decent food. Everybody was quiet stuffing their faces when the food came which is a good thing.
Great intimate bar. Nice restaurant atmosphere. Very cozy with the fireplace in there. Live music options. Burger was great. Supposedly great wine selection. Not a great beer selection.
