Zarak by Afghan Kitchen

We visited Zarak for the first time and were warm welcomed from beginning to end of our visit! Drinks were unique and delicious, food was rich and well made and to top it all off, they surprised us before our bill with a complimentary dessert due to it being our anniversary, so kind! Incredible service, like no where else.

Hassib and his team made my birthday night incredibly memorable! Amazing food, service and atmosphere. Already looking forward to our next visit! Must try the mom's secret cake and you can't go wrong with any of their cocktails and mains. This place is phenomenal! They really know how to make a good lamb, if you like lamb, this place is awesome! They have super creative cocktails and I wish I could have tried more of them. The silk rice was exactly that, the best rice I’ve ever had! Prices are very decent and the portions are massive! Definitely get a reservation here because it’s busy and for good reason. This is a great restaurant and one that’s worth the visit.

Eating at Zarak by Afghan Kitchen was a genuinely delightful experience. The service was super friendly and thoughtful, with the staff clearly passionate about the food and general restaurant ethos. The dishes were outstanding. As pretentious as it sounds, the flavours genuinely took you on a journey; complex and punchy, but never overwhelming. I'd recommend the Dopiaza, Potato flatbread (with the gorgeous accompanying chutney), and 'Mum's Secret' in particular. One of, if not the best slice of cake I've ever eaten. Will definitely be back.
