Great Crisps, Great Pints, Great Atmosphere. No possible complaints. love it
I love it here, Katie is fab and the drinks are always 10/10 And they sell Taytos!!
Been in many times with my young lad (10). He sits quietly with a Diet Coke and some crisps after a long walk or to watch a game. He’s even been known to go up to the bar and get his own. Place is normally very quiet. Suddenly today, when it was a bit busier, we came into watch a game and there was a strictly enforced “no under 16’s rule” and they refused to serve us. No problem, your business, but we won’t be back when the Sunday afternoon part-timers disappear.
'Regular Customers Only' Not sure why anyone is reviewing this pub as 'welcoming' or 'friendly'... There a sign in the door stating 'Regular Customers Only'. This may or may not be legal, I don't know - although the management seems keen enough to spread their tables onto the public highway, maintained at the cost of all taxpayers, not just their 'regulars'. This sign has appeared a number of times over the past couple of years (I think they've been told to remove the sign on occasion, but it has gone up again at a later date). Whether legal and 'their right' to do this or not, it's unfriendly at best and more likely a dog-whistle for blatant discrimination. If you're happy with discrimination, feel free to ignore this. Otherwise, report or vote with your feet - there are many other welcoming places in Barnet.
In my opinion best pub in Barnet, very well run, excellent draft beer and they have kept prices as reasonable as possible. Always a good welcome
Nice pub, however the live music was a bit too loud and I couldn't hear myself speak to my friends. Had to leave early.
