Always delicious. Very good sushi and the katsu curry is also one of my favorites.
My friend and I have been this place couple times and we were always satisfied with their food but last time was a disaster and we decided never come back here again. We came in around 10:10pm, the lady was nice at first but when my friend asked for a happy hour menu she was rude and asked us back "is it 10pm yet?" , at first he thought she was just kidding so he replied to her yes but then she keep asking again "are you sure it's 10pm?" Twice! She still doesn't believe him. She took out her phone to check then finally she accepted the time. We ordered 8 rolls and 5 or 6 more fried dishes. Then again she asked us "are you sure, are you sure this is not to go". I said yes, we are dine in, not to go, we've been here a couple times. We ordered foods in happy hour menu and regular menu. After check out i asked her Togo box for left over and she told me "No. It's dine in only, I told you". We were dine in the whole time and just ask for a left over box, we didn't order togo or anything. The bill was $68 for the meal and I can't get a box for left over, seriously? The waitress was rude but I still put down $4 tip even though I didn't want to. But then she chased after me and pulled me inside the restaurant asked "why only $4, your bill is almost $70, you suppose to tip me at least 10%". OMG my head is almost blew up when I heard that. I wished I NEVER tip anything for her. It was one of our favorite restaurants, we will never go back there again.
I normally go to the Yama in Frisco, which is great. I love that place and never have any issues. I work in a high end Japanese restaurant and don’t ever have issues with their food. Always great service at that location too. Decided to drop by the Plano spot tonight since I was over this direction, and I really don’t recommend. The food wasn’t good and the service was pretty bad. I had a couple pieces of nigiri (maguro, tuna, and spicy tuna) which were fine, but the takoyaki wasn’t good at all. The dough was still mostly raw in two of them, plus there was barely any Tako in them apart from one with a larger piece. There is no full service bar at this location, they only seem to serve beer and sake so just an fyi there. I would suggest skipping this location and going to the one off Preston and 121 instead. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp and decent room to get a wheelchair by without major issues
Good many different varieties of sushi with just about right cover white rice . The price is affordable. Convenient location on the corner of the shopping and food center. Shared parking with the supermarket . Open until 2:00 am
Get the Taiwanese and Chinese food here. Their sushi/Japanese food is okay. Highly recommend getting salt and pepper tofu. It’s crispy but soft and delicate on the inside. Their three cups small squid is excellent and has a nice balance of sweetness and saltiness. The sugar caramelizes well on the squid or any protein you choose. Their tomato and egg is incredibly delicious. They don’t put a lot of tomato but its flavors come through well. Put it on top of your rice and eat it together. If don’t like seafood or tofu choose any protein with their salt and pepper or three cups of and you’ll enjoy it.
Always great food and service. I only wish the walls on the booths were cleaned . Every time we come they're stained by sauces and food
