Deers are used to humans, so won't run. But they are still wild animals, so don't recommend trying to pet or coming too close to them. Plenty of parking (daily ticket is £5). Grounds are clean and lovely, with a café and benches around. Brilliant place to come and visit.
Visited quite regularly over the years. Pleasant for just a walk, a trip to see the deer or a cycle through on the way to somewhere else. The museum is usually free to enter, only time we have paid was to see the T-Rex skeleton. Nice cafe in a court yard, gets busy at weekends though. Plenty of places for a picnic if you take your own food.
This is so great place for a walk and to see deers there is also a lake so go and relax
The museum is a great place to take young children.
Great park a large open space with deer roaming within the grounds. There was an old fashioned fun fair when we visited and have the park also holds other events throughout the year. Playground: Really good play area suited to all ages of children. Restrooms: Clean Toilets provided Dog-friendliness: Dog friendly and plenty of space Picnic area: Picnic table available but we chose to move away from the crowds to find our own space of grass.
