It is a very old railway station with lovely restaurant, which I think is available for functions. Old trains in the sidings. Dont think it has hotel. Mike
Chips were cold but soon sorted out
Very well priced resturant and bar in a idyllic setting. The food was very good quality. This vintage rural railway makes for a great place to stop off. A true hidden gem.
Visted on Monday Bank Holiday - website suggested it was shut - we nearly didn't go! Their Facebook is up to date and luckily we checked before writing it off. My son is train obsessed - we've been to many heritage railways and this is by far the best value for money so far. Highly recommend. Train rides were great, restaurant/cafe was really reasonably priced and highly recommend their cake. The staff were really lovely too.
We joined the 'Easter Egg Hunt' event and it was brilliant. So well organised, incredible attention to detail and helpful staff. We will be back next year.
Arrived too late to enjoy the railway but had a lovely beer at the bar. Hope to return one day and enjoy the trains.
Fantastic place to stay or for a day out
Visited for an anniversary gala weekend. Paid £24 for 2 adults get in. Nothing going on really and the entry fee was most certainly not justified. Left after 45 minutes. A real shame as we love old railways.
