Awesome flooded vibes, great food, highly recommend to visit whenever in Richmond!
We had a great lunch there on a Saturday afternoon. The staff were amazing, accommodating us with our pram and always attentive to when we needed orders. Great spot and atmosphere.
Quite a large looking pub on the river. What appears to be a wee little island bar as you enter becomes a very efficient drink service once you approach - they really are quite good at it. The staff, although reasonably busy, are still happy to have a bit of a chat and were very pleasant. The inside is not huge, but as you would expect from a riverside pub, there is a lot of seating out the frond. There is also seating/function room upstairs (there was a wedding the day we were there). The Guinness was excellent as was the London Pride.
Friendly and efficient staff, the food was good, and we had a lovely table overlooking the river.
Book early, it's busy and popular... we booked for 12 and had a great time. The overall experience was let down by the roasts being served almost cold with pretty much stale Yorkshire puds... should have returned them but too hungry.... they tasted OK and we're improved with some extra hot gravy. I'd still definitely go back, but will check freshness next time. Service staff were great, everything else was great.
Had pub lunch with my friend at White Cross today. I ordered glass of white wine and Dover sole with French fries (no delivery for new potatoes apparently.) Fish was cooked just right and presentation was excellent. However I had enquire about my food as there seemed unusual amount of delay between my friend's food being served (much earlier.) It turned out my food was ready in the kitchen but the waiter was more engrossed with chatting to some friends. I also had to return my wine earlier as there were "bits" at the bottom of my wine glass. So altogether food quality good, service not so much!
