Lunchtime visit on a rainy, miserable April day. Very busy and too many dogs....and yapping! Food and beer OK, pub lacking in character I feel.
Very nice , freshly cooked food ..Can highly recommend the Haddock . Nice selection of drinks . Dogs are welcome indy too
Came for lunch on Friday. Felt rushed to order food as a man was going around asking if everyone had ordered so he could remove menus. This probably caused the hour wait for food to arrive - too many orders in a short time. Was told couldn't have more tartare sauce as it was being made. Nobody checked if food was ok. I'm assuming it was the owner- he only checked on his friends or those with dogs he liked whilst asking them to leave a comment on trip advisor. Overly expensive food that wasn't all that amazing. Really has gone down hill. A sign was later put on the bar saying a 25mins wait for food - they should be so lucky.
Had lunch with a friend who is Vegetarian, good choice of food for her ...Really enjoyed my soup and wrap .. friendly staff and nice to see it's a dog friendly pub...good location for parking also ..As an oap was lovely to be able to use my gold card ...
Only had drinks and went to see the artist who was on Saturday night, bar staff very efficient and friendly.... Artist was brilliant, we had a really good night
Five stars across the board! Staff were so pleasant, plenty of Gluten free options and the place is dog friendly! Food was delicious and not overpriced! We both went for veggie burger which was amazing! Will definitely be back, when we’re in Bakewell next time! Worth mentioning is that we went over easter weekend and the town was packed! Yet there was still plenty of space for everyone to grab a bite! ☺️
Went for Easter Sunday lunch. Good lovely and big enough potions but did feel rushed
Ordered the side of chunky chips and the Camembert sandwich, the chips were big and fluffy with a light crisps and plenty in a portion. The sandwich wasn’t shy on filling with lovely soft toasted bread
