I have given this Walmart location many chances. I really wanted to like this store. It is very close to where I live, which would have made shopping trips more convenient for me, but I can't return after some of the experiences that I've had here. Even though the ways in which this Walmart has repulsed and disappointed me are too many to list, I will try to provide a brief outline below to help you understand why you should probably shop elsewhere: (1) Terrible lack of security: The security guards here, if there still are any, are completely inept. Just this week, while packing my groceries in my car, I was harassed by four aggressive panhandlers who made me genuinely fear for my life. I was in such a hurry to leave that, when I got home, I received the gut punch of realizing that I had left several items behind in my shopping cart. I can only imagine how horrible this would have felt if my children had been with me. Where were the security staff? When my grandmother parked her car at a slight angle, with one tire landing on the lines of her parking spot, the security and loss prevention staff quickly started milling about and calling a traffic enforcement officer to harass her. They are really brave when it comes to instigating the issuance of parking tickets, but they vanish and find a lot of other things to be busy with when desperate migrants and violent, emotionally unstable homeless people wander onto the premises (which happens often, it seems). 2) Declining food quality: Starting some months ago, buying anything from this Walmart has become a risky gamble. Just scroll through some of the other reviews here and you'll see examples of some of the borderline-criminal quality control failures that I've had the misfortune of tasting firsthand. I have had to throw away meat that had mold growing on it (concealed by the packaging), macaroni boxes with live bugs flapping their wings inside, and bags of flour that looked like ant hills because of all of the silverfish that were crawling through them. At first, I thought that the bug incidents were just one-off events, but now it's pretty clear that there's a pattern and that sloppy sanitation practices at this store are almost certainly to blame for those disgusting surprises. 3) Poor/non-existent customer service: This Walmart is horrendously understaffed and the employees look like they're being squeezed as much as possible for every penny that they are paid. Having heard the frequent shouting matches between irate staff members who seem to hate every second of their jobs, I would not recommend that you eat anything from the bakery, the butchers, or any other hands-on food preparer here. Don't fool yourself into thinking that they are making your meals with good hygiene and with love in their hearts. The turnover rate seems to be high, too, since the employees are mostly clueless trainees who tend to completely disappear from one day to the next. The language barrier is another issue. If you only speak English, you will find lots of frustrating dead ends when shopping here. Do lots of research at home ahead of time on what you plan to buy and on where you might be able to find it within the store because the staff won't be able to help. This is also not a Walmart where you can shop quickly. Expect to spend much of your time waiting in line behind ten other customers because it's not uncommon for only one cashier to be available. On top of that, some of the shelves and aisles occasionally get rearranged randomly, forcing you to wander in circles until you either find what you're looking for or give up. The employees either don't know enough to help or, in some cases, don't speak enough English to be able to help you, even if they want to. In summary, I tried to make it work, but this Walmart is a lost cause. Cut your losses and do your shopping somewhere else, for the sake of your physical and mental health.
