Vovomeena

Vovomeena, a breakfast spot in Phoenix, is a diamond in the rough-to-get-to location. But it's well worth the effort of a visit. Hidden in the back corner of a mini complex on Seventh Avenue and McDowell Road, it's easily missed. You'll know you've found the spot when you see the signs for Chipotle and Five Guys Burgers and Fries — Vovomeena's fast-casual neighbors. Finding a place to park is another adventure, but one that should not be abandoned. For inside, the rewards of fresh squeezed orange juice, cold-brewed coffee and an array of breakfast dishes await. Open since 2012, Vovomeena is named for founder DJ Fernandes' grandmother — vovó means grandma in Portuguese.
