Great staff who are friendly and knowledgable. They explained a lot about their different wines and made recommendations based on my preferences. I ended up joining their wine club because of how great of a time I had.
Pretty shocked at the selection of whites I tried. Incredibly niche yet crowd pleasing worthy wines. Loved their selections and loved our bartender/host, Art. Would come back and would recommend their flights.
Excellent wine bar/store with a lot of wines to choose from. The membership plans are modest and I love coming here ones a month for my free glass of wine and to pick my wine bottles. Bartender Jose is great and takes a good care of me and my friends. Haven’t tried much food, the cheese plate was huge and delicious.
If your white it's a high five start service for you
A wonderful wine selection, a friendly clientele...and good food!!!. I shop here for wine and alcoholic beverages...as well as food takeouts. I'm a world traveler... And I can say,:"It's a gem!"
Matt, Julia and the team are awesome! I’ve been coming here for years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Always super friendly, have great recommendations, and aren’t pretentious at all when it comes to low to high priced wines.
I used to buy wines from Vintage Wine Merchant for corporate events. They have a great taste of selections, always amazing service and quick ready for online pickup!
Felt scammed. I was on a date. ( first time on Santana Row). I do not know much about wines, so to save myself the embarrassment, I asked for a “house red”. Guess what? The waitress brings back the most expensive red on the menu; really? When did “house wine” become “ most expensive wine on the menu” ?? ( didn’t realize it until later when I looked at the receipt and then the menu on the website) It was almost closing time, so we had one glass each and asked to close the tab. A lady showed up with a handheld POS. The max tip option was 7%. I was confused but selected it anyways. When I later looked at the receipt, I realized there was a 20% automatic gratuity added by default - for a party of 2. I don’t know what the law here in CA is for automatic gratuity, but I thought it was for parties 6 and over. I always tip 20% anyways, but sneaking it on the bill without mention is very distasteful. And the greed to ask for more? Basically, I paid a 27% tip for 1 hr and two glasses of wine. It’s not about the money but the principle of fairness and honesty.
