Vinnie's Italian Beef & Gyros

I just tried this place and I was overall satisfied, but there are some pros and cons. I got the roast beef sandwich, pasta salad and potatoes with a side of their cheese sauce. The sandwich...very good. They forgot my aujus sauce, but I didn't care. It was absolutely delish! The pasta salad...great flavor. Ate that up first thing. Now the potatoes...meh. They looked wonderful, but they smelled just awful from the cheese they coat it with. They were just meh. I didn't eat a majority of it. The cheese sauce...also meh. Not much flavor. Didn't add anything to anything. I didn't eat that hardly either. The service....TOP NOTCH. The guy cooking was very friendly and made my order so quickly, plus, he kept that kitchen CLEAN AND TIDY, which is very hard to come by in the STL. In all...it is a small, simple joint, but I enjoyed this place and will be back to try many more sandwiches!

I got the Italian beef and it was pretty good. Next time I'll try the hotdog. Thanks

Always excellent food

Great neighborhood place for lunch. Burgers are in my top 10 best burgers, ever, but they're only available on Tues. Gyros are phenom as well. Friendly and warm staff makes you feel at home.

Great environment. Friendly family owned staff. Best beef on this part of the Mississippi. Def a favorite place to go when we visit.
