Best place to have authentic south Indian food in DC area.

Best dosa in the DMV, and this is coming from someone who has tried just about every dosa spot in DC/Northern Virginia. Service was very friendly. The only downside to this place is its small size. I hope they can upgrade to a larger location at some point (but still stay in Adams Morgan). And in case you were wondering: this review is coming from an Indian. So yes, I know what the food is supposed to taste like.

Probably a better idea to stick to South Indian food at this place. The owner was sitting right next to us, watching a movie loudly on his phone while shouting instructions across the hall to the workers. Authentic Indian ambience. Ordered a chat, very meh. How many times do you see a couple of Indians, walk away from a single plate of chat. This was that.

This place is so delicious. It tastes incredibly authentic and is actually affordable. It’s a gem in Adams Morgan. Don’t ever get a jumbo slice in the neighborhood when you can eat this amazing flavorful food! Try the dosas.

Favorite desi place to eat in DC. I usually get classic fare — masala dosa + idli / sambar / vada. Chutney's great. Place is a bit small, but IMO that contributes to the vibe. Also in a great location next to fun karaoke / bars.

Place is small, sitting for approximately 20 people. Food is tasty, it's not watered down. Dosa, choole puri were great.
