1 star since I cannot leave 0 stars: When asked for water at our table, after we had already paid in full for our food via the bar/restaurants online ordering, we were told to "go to the bathroom, there is a water dispenser just outside the bathroom for you"

Visiting for work and an associate recommended urban. Walked from the capital building a couple blocks to the tasting room in Hartford. Let's start with the bad: limited to go selection from what sounds like great sales. The good: food was on point, beer was approachable but nuanced, good range of selection, full bar, affordable, additional upstairs space and hospitable even to respectable children. Well done. Went back the next night too. Thank you kindly. I still want a sticker

Cozy, comfortable tap room on Pratt Street, Hartford that offers a variety of tasty craft beers, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverage options. The Urban Lodge taproom also has a kitchen that offers a variety of apps, soups, salads, burgers and other sandwiches. They also offer a kids menu if you want to bring the kids along while you have an adult beverage. A great place to stop while you are in downtown Hartford.

I’ve been working in Hartford since 1999, and as a big supporter of the restaurant/food/drinking/nightlife establishments around downtown over the years, I don’t hesitate to say this. The opening of Urban Lodge on Pratt St. is the most impressive and well executed launch of a new restaurant business that I’ve seen in the city. The location is great, and the atmosphere raises the bar for places to hang out in downtown Hartford. While the sample size is low because of its newness, my early experiences here clearly showed they have great beers, a full bar, and great food. The upstairs cocktail & wine bar allows for a change of pace from the downstairs area. Another positive thing is that you order food from your phone, individually; which eliminates the awkward splitting checks conversation when you are with groups from work. I will be at Urban Loge as often as I can. The above review is from Oct/Nov 2023: I feel obligated to share more about how great this place is a few months later, Jan ‘24. I go here for lunch every time I’m in the office and have tried almost everything on the menu…20+ orders. After multiple visits, this is easily one of the top burger spots in all of CT. Every burger option is phenomenal, and my fav is the Ronnie Franchise. Today’s visit compelled me to add to what I wrote before, I had the pickletizer and the truffalo chicken sandwich. The sandwich, which also had bacon, exceeded expectations. What surprised me most was the excellence of the Picketizer(Fried pickles, pickle chips, and ny style deli pickles that are as good, if not better than Katz’s in NYC). With all the great meals I’ve had here, the horsey sauce that comes with the pickles may be the best flavor on the menu. I want that on everything!

I absolutely love this place! Not only are the beer and food fantastic, but the bar itself is well maintained and always clean. The butternut soup is delicious and I love the fact you know what beer you’re drinking in your flight with the handy magnets on the carrier. This is right next door to XL center and within walking distance of Dunkin’ so I am looking forward to making this a ritual before events downtown.

Multiple different seating areas and options across 2 floors. There is a main bar and 2 other bars. We ordered beers at the bar and food from the QR code at the table. The beer we had was decent. We had 2 burgers and the fries/rings. The burgers were tasty but the buns were dry. Fries and rings were good. Staff was nice and attentive.

In addition to the beer they brew, they have whiskey and non-alcoholic beer. Friendly staff, beautifully renovated old building

We had two cosmos which were great , a little on the lime side but beautifully concocted. The Maui Wowie was an excellent choice for a beer . The house cab was good for a brewery . The burgers and food looked awesome coming out , although we did not try . It was a packed house upstairs and downstairs . The vibe was electric . Looking forward to coming back for food and UConn husky games . Let’s go hartford ! #hartfordhasit
