Does anyone have suggestions for the nearest public bathroom to this location? They no longer offer restrooms even for paying customers. I'm used to this udf being a trusted spot for years while I'm on the road. Seeing as how I've been waiting awhile and had counted on this, I have a full carseat of piss for my drive home. Hope everyone enjoyed the eclipse and TIA for the suggestions! Edit: I made this post because it is important for people to know where they can piss in private, while they are out in the world. A big reason I don't take the bus more is because of lack of bathroom availability while I'm traveling. Right now, this neighborhood having a public restroom is important to me because I'm converting a vacant lot in Avondale into an urban farm to donate food. I don't have water or any structures on this property. I need somewhere within a 5 minute drive to take a whizz. So if anyone has suggestions near the cemetery in Avondale, or around Ludlow Ave, I'd love to hear it. For now, I did find that the Cincinnati Public Library, Clifton branch is right around the corner from this UDF, and it's open 10-6 most days. This UDF had the restrooms physically blocked off yesterday, with a sign up saying "restrooms for paying customers only, see cashier" that's fine. It was busy there, so I grabbed a grocery item that I might need later and waited several minutes in line trying not to piss, knowing I just needed a key after I run my credit card. And when I got there, the person said the bathrooms are out of order. So I left. And then realized I'd been driving awhile looking for a restroom and there wasn't anywhere for me to go, and I really couldn't wait any longer. I was getting a panic attack from the pain and stress, and I have bad kidneys and am not supposed to hold it like that because I'm at risk for urine flowing back up into my kidneys and causing an infection that could hospitalize me. Some things to think about. Cheers ✌️
I stopped by to get ice cream with my family after having a nice day at the park across the street. My 70 year old mother and 3 year old son needed to wash their hands....a reasonable thing to do after playing in a park and prior to consuming food... But we were told repeatedly that the restroom that was blockaded was not to be used, not even for paying customers. Even after explaining that all we needed to do was wash our hands we were still denied the courtesy to wash up. Gross.... As an alternative we asked if there was any hand sanitizer and they said no. Disgusting... We took our business down the street.
I visited on Tuesday, March 19th around 2:00PM. I wanted to pick up some treats to lift the spirits of a friend that is recovering from surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital. I walked up to the ice cream counter to order a chocolate malt. The employee behind the counter was speaking loudly about the infidelities of her friend's romantic relationship to another employee located near the ATM. She would not acknowledge my existence until she was finished with her story (which lasted about 5 minutes.) She started my order and after a couple of minutes said that she could check me out over at the register. After which, I reminded her that I was still waiting on the malt. (I didn't notice that she had placed the malt at the very far edge of the ice cream counter.) She pointed to the end of the counter and said, "It's over there." I have always had my ice cream handed directly to me when finished. I felt as if I was putting her out by asking her to do anything. I will not be back. Terrible customer service.
Very kind Cashiers! Like the free item Wednesdays!
Honestly, the people working there are racist as heck, when they say you need ID to purchase something (it can be a passport, EAD or any kind state provided) not just a driver license, what if someone doesn’t drive and needs alcohol? Atleast keep some level educated people on the other end ID means identification, not just Driver license, they don’t even know the meaning of ID. The person on the other end wasn’t even ready to hear out anything (I wasn’t even forcing him to accept) when I was polite he was veryyyyyyy rude. Trust me the last thing I’d wanna do is visit this place again especially when those workers who are racist towards Indians are present. This isn’t the 1st time probably the nth thing this happened and no one’s taking care of it. Wish there was a 0 star.
I didn’t like the service at this place. We are Indians, I guess he was very rude to us due to this reason. There were two persons at exactly 12:10 a.m. working at the store. They both were not good to us. They were rude. Even if we are asking something, they were not looking at us. But at the same time they were good with others.
Oct 12 2023 , night 10:35 both the employees were rude and racist also did not treat us well. Kindly take action
Tim was great and made my caramel shake to perfection and even made sure to check my milk flavor and ice-cream type! Great employee!
